Her research focuses on how young children learn to communicate through interactions with adults and their environment, with special attention to multimodality in the construction of early interactions. Taking an interdisciplinary approach that integrates developmental psychology, education, and linguistics, she studies communicative dynamics in home and early childhood education settings through naturalistic observations and detailed analyses. This work aims not only to expand knowledge on early communication but also to contribute to the early detection of sociocommunicative difficulties and their application in educational contexts.

She holds a degree in Pedagogy and a degree in Psychopedagogy, awarded with the Premio Extraordinario Fin de Carrera, from Universidad de Málaga, and a PhD with international distinction from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. Her doctoral dissertation examined adult mediation in infant communication during the first year of life. She has been a postdoctoral researcher at the National Institute of Education – Nanyang Technological University in Singapore and has lectured at various Spanish universities.
